“We are two brothers, Bertrand and Vincent Marchesseau. We took over the family property in 2001. The domain has the particularity to rest on three names: Bourgueil (14 ha),  Chinon (5 ha) and St Nicolas de Bourgueil (3 ha).

Our roles are well defined: work of the vineyard and vinification for Bertrand, breeding and trade for Vincent. Our differences allow us to be perfectly complementary and to bring to both of us  all the qualities essential to the profession of winegrower. The efforts on the vineyard, the work of the wines and the development of the trade allowed us in about ten years to go from a sale essentially to the traders to a sale in bottles, to the private individuals, wine merchants, wholesalers and big retailers. Our first goals are achieved! But it is important for us not to stay on track. We must continue to move forward.

Our production philosophy is based on the search for a constant quality thanks to a certain level of requirement, a permanent questioning, a rigorous work on the vineyard (analysis and tillage, weeding, thinning, stripping, sorting ...) in the respect of the environment. In this perspective, organic farming becomes obvious.

The appellations Bourgueil, Chinon and St Nicolas-de-Bourgueil are produced from a single varietal, Cabernet Franc. We elaborate different cuvées according to the terroirs: "Roc 'Collection"   coming from clay-limestone slopes,   "Funambule" on stony islands, "Featherweight" and "Rosé Shadocks " coming from gravel-sand terraces; with visual identities strong images that mark the spirits!"
